Getting started

From creating an account to your first export — follow these 6 steps to build your first sports visual with Timline.

Estimated time: 10 to 15 minutes for your first complete visual.

01

Create your account

Go to the sign-up page and enter your email address and a password. A confirmation email will be sent — click the link to activate your account.

  • Signing up is free, no card required.
  • The confirmation email can take a few minutes to arrive — check your spam folder.
02

Create your first project

From the dashboard, click “New project”. Choose your sport (football, basketball, handball, karting…), name the project and add your brand colours. Those colours will be available in the editor to style your visuals.

  • You can create several projects: one per club, one per season or one per team.
  • The sport you pick determines the fields available in Club (positions, sport-specific statistics…).
03

Fill in your Club

Open the “Club” tab of your project. Add your teams (with crest and colours), your players (name, number, photo), your sponsors and your fixtures. You can also import an existing CSV or Excel file directly.

  • CSV/Excel import is available from the “Import” button — supported formats: .csv, .xls, .xlsx.
  • Player photos can be cut out automatically: click “Cut out” after uploading.
  • Kits (SVG or image) can be set per team — useful for line-ups without photos.
04

Pick a template in the Studio

Open the Studio from the side menu. Browse the templates by category: match announcement, final score, team line-up, player portrait, standings, podium… Click a template to open it in the editor.

  • Templates marked “PRO” require a Pro or Team subscription.
  • You can also start from a blank artboard if you prefer building from scratch.
  • A multi-format template automatically generates the Post, Story and Landscape versions.
05

Wire your data into the dynamic zones

In the editor, open the “Club” panel (icon on the left). Select the fixture, players and teams to use. Click a zone on the canvas and assign it an entry: the visual updates instantly with your real data.

  • Player zones support several visual modes: photo, cut-out photo, kit, helmet, gloves.
  • Synchronisation across the 3 artboards (Post / Story / Landscape) is automatic.
  • You can save your visual as a new template to reuse it later.
06

Export your visual

Click “Export” at the top right of the editor. Choose the format (PNG or JPG) and the resolution. On mobile, “Export” opens your device's native share sheet directly.

  • PNG supports transparency (transparent background available on Pro and Team).
  • HD export produces files at native resolution: 1920×1080, 1080×1080 or 1080×1920 px.
  • You can export several artboards at once from the Generate tab.
