Terms of Use
Last updated: October 20, 2026. These terms govern access to and use of the Timline platform. This English version is a translation provided for convenience; in the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.
Version française (fait foi)1. Service provider
Timline is published by an individual entrepreneur registered in France under the auto-entrepreneur (sole trader) scheme. Full details (name, address and SIRET number) are published on the legal notice page. Support contact: support@timline.fr.
The service is available online through the Timline application. Application hosting is provided by OVH (France, server located in the European Union), traffic delivery and protection by Cloudflare, the database by Supabase, media storage by Cloudflare R2, transactional emails by IONOS and payments by Stripe.
2. Purpose
These terms of use (the "Terms") govern access to and use of Timline, a graphic design platform dedicated to sports content: match graphics, results, standings, lineups, player portraits, stories and related materials.
Any registration, sign-in or use of the service implies full acceptance of these Terms. If the user does not agree, the user must not use the service.
3. Access and registration
Using Timline's main features requires creating an account. The user agrees to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information and to keep their sign-in credentials confidential.
Registration is limited to persons aged at least 15. For a minor user, the service must be used with the consent of a legal guardian where required by applicable law.
Under a TEAM subscription, the holder of the billing account remains responsible for managing invitations and for the use of the service by the members attached to their subscription.
4. Description of the service
Timline lets users, among other things, create and manage visual projects, use templates, manage a sports database, import certain data and media, export graphics, and collaborate depending on the plan subscribed to.
The service evolves regularly. Timline may modify, add or remove certain features, provided this does not disproportionately affect the essential commitments of the current service.
5. Plans and prices
Timline currently offers the following plans: FREE at EUR 0, EARLY ADOPTER at EUR 4.99 per month (price locked for life, 15 places available at launch), PRO at EUR 19.99 per month or EUR 199.90 per year, SEASON PASS at EUR 99 for 8 months of the sports season, and TEAM at EUR 59.99 per month or EUR 599 per year, for up to 5 active members. These amounts may change; any substantial change will be notified with reasonable notice and will apply to future renewals only.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically according to the chosen billing period. The SEASON PASS is paid once for an annual cycle; it gives full access for 8 months from the recorded season start date, then view-only / FREE access for the remaining 4 months of the annual cycle. The service administrator may adjust this date if necessary.
When the SEASON PASS is paid by a third party through a payment link, the payer chooses at the time of payment whether it renews automatically the following year; failing such a choice, it ends at the end of the annual cycle, with no further charge. When it is purchased directly from the account, it renews every year unless cancelled before the renewal date.
When an account is created, Timline offers a free 30-day trial of the SEASON PASS without asking for a payment method. The trial is limited to one per email address, including after an account has been deleted; it is not offered to accounts attached to a TEAM workspace paid for by another user, nor to accounts that already have a paid plan. No charge is made during or after the trial: at its end, the account automatically returns to the FREE plan, with that plan's limits, and data and graphics already created are kept. During the 30 days following the end of the trial, the account may still create, in addition to what it already has, the equivalent of the FREE plan limits; after that, the FREE plan limits apply normally. The user is notified 7 days and then 1 day before the trial ends. Subscribing to a paid plan during the trial ends the trial. Timline may change or withdraw this offer for future sign-ups, with no effect on a trial already in progress.
Any substantial price change is notified to the user with reasonable notice before it applies to future renewals.
6. Payment, invoicing and subscription management
Payments are processed exclusively by Stripe. Timline does not access or store users' full banking details.
Timline operates under the French VAT exemption scheme for small businesses (franchise en base de TVA). As long as the applicable legal thresholds are not exceeded, no VAT is charged, collected or remitted. The following statement appears on invoices and contractual documents: "TVA non applicable, art. 293 B du CGI" (VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code).
If a payment fails, Stripe may retry it. If the failure persists, the subscription may be suspended, downgraded to a lower plan or terminated depending on the billing status.
Where available, the user can manage their subscription from the service interface and the associated billing tools.
7. Right of withdrawal and refunds
Users acting as consumers may exercise a right of withdrawal within a maximum of 14 days from subscribing to a paid plan.
In accordance with the policy communicated by Timline, a refund is accepted only if no graphic has been exported and no significant action has been taken on the service during that period, in particular no creation, modification or deletion of content.
After this 14-day period, or if the service has actually been used during that period, the refund request is not admissible. Any request must be sent to support@timline.fr.
8. User obligations
The user agrees to use Timline lawfully, fairly and in accordance with its purpose. It is the user's responsibility to check that the content, data, logos, photos, names, statistics and other material they import or publish through the platform are lawful.
The following are prohibited in particular: importing or publishing content that is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory or infringes the rights of third parties; using unauthorized scripts or automation; attempting to bypass security measures; abusive use of the service's resources.
Quotas described as unlimited (projects, players, teams, matches, sponsors, stored graphics, HD exports, etc.) remain subject to normal, good-faith use of the service. Timline reserves the right to apply technical anti-abuse limits, in particular a rate limit on certain operations (exports, API requests), in order to preserve the quality of service for all users.
Fair use of media bandwidth: bandwidth used to download or display media stored on Timline's infrastructure is considered fair as long as it remains consistent with normal editorial use. Above an indicative threshold of 5 TB of cumulative read bandwidth per account per calendar month, Timline may contact the account holder to clarify the use, offer a suitable plan, request the use of a third-party CDN or, in the event of use clearly inconsistent with the purpose of the service (in particular hotlinking media to third-party sites, use as a public CDN or distribution of content unrelated to the account's editorial activity), suspend or limit access to the media concerned after reasonable notice.
9. Intellectual property and user content
Timline's own elements, including the interface, the default templates, the logos, the brand, the organization of the service and the associated software components, remain the exclusive property of Timline or its rights holders.
Content imported or created by the user in their workspace remains the user's responsibility. The user grants Timline only the rights strictly necessary to host, process, display and export this content in order to provide the service.
Club directory. When the user enters a club's visual identity in the service (name, crest, colors, city), they accept that these elements may be offered, after review by Timline, to other users of the service, solely to identify that club in their sports graphics. This sharing only concerns club identification elements (legal entities) and contains no personal data; the contributor's identity is never disclosed to other users.
The user represents that this sharing does not infringe the rights of third parties and grants Timline, for the duration of its publication in the directory, a non-exclusive, free, worldwide license strictly limited to this identification purpose. The user may request the removal of any of their contributions at any time by writing to support@timline.fr.
Timline removes from the directory any disputed contribution, as soon as possible, upon a reasoned request from a rights holder sent to support@timline.fr. Removal ends publication through the directory; copies already added by other users to their own workspaces remain user content within the meaning of this article, under each of those users' responsibility.
Logos found on the web. When the user looks for another club's logo, in particular from a search engine opened in the app, the user chooses and imports the image: it becomes user content, kept in their own workspace only and never added to the club directory. It is up to the user to use the official logo of the club concerned and to make sure they may reproduce it in their graphics.
Reporting content. Anyone may report to Timline content hosted on the service that they consider illegal, in particular a logo, a photo or a name used without permission, by writing to support@timline.fr with the address or a precise description of the content, the reasons for the report and their contact details. Timline reviews each report, informs its author of the outcome and removes or disables access to any manifestly illegal content as soon as possible; the user concerned is informed, with the reasons for the decision.
10. Personal data
The processing of the personal data of the service's users is described in the Privacy Policy available at /privacy.
When the user imports data about third parties into Timline, in particular players, team members, contacts, photos or statistics, they do so under their own responsibility and undertake to have the necessary rights, authorizations and legal bases.
When these third parties are minors, which is common in a sports club, the user guarantees that they have obtained the consent of the legal guardian for recording their data, keeping their photograph and publicly distributing graphics showing them. Timline has no direct relationship with these persons and cannot obtain this consent on the user's behalf.
The user undertakes not to record in Timline any sensitive data within the meaning of Article 9 of the GDPR (health, origin, opinions, trade union membership), as the service is neither designed nor sized to process such data.
Any data subject, or their legal guardian, may write to support@timline.fr. Timline forwards the request to the user concerned and may delete the data in question directly where necessary or if no response is received.
11. Availability, maintenance and security
Timline implements reasonable measures for security, authentication, logging, access control and abuse prevention. However, the service is provided without any guarantee of uninterrupted availability or of being entirely error-free.
Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates, technical incidents, unavailability of a subcontractor or protective measures. Timline may temporarily suspend all or part of the service if necessary to preserve the security, integrity or continuity of the platform.
12. Liability
Timline is bound by a general obligation of means (best-efforts obligation) in providing the service. It cannot be held liable for indirect damage, loss of opportunity, loss of customers, damage to reputation or loss of data not attributable to a proven fault on its part.
To the extent permitted by law, Timline's total liability for any single event giving rise to damage is capped at the amount actually paid by the user in the 12 months preceding the damage, provided that this cap may not be lower than EUR 500. This minimum applies in particular to free accounts, so that this clause never deprives the contract of its substance.
The limitations and exclusions in this article do not apply in the event of gross negligence or willful misconduct by Timline, personal injury, or where the law prohibits them. They cannot be relied on against users acting as consumers or non-professionals within the meaning of the French Consumer Code, in particular associations acting outside their professional activity: these users retain the full benefit of the rights granted to them by law.
Any claim relating to the service must, failing which it will be time-barred, be sent to Timline within twelve months of the event giving rise to the damage or, if later, of the day the user became aware of it. This time limit does not apply to users acting as consumers or non-professionals, who benefit from the statutory limitation periods.
13. Suspension, termination and account deletion
The user may cancel their subscription and delete their account using the features available in the application, subject to the technical or legal constraints set out in the Privacy Policy.
Timline may suspend, restrict or terminate an account in the event of non-payment, abusive use, fraudulent behavior or breach of these Terms. In an emergency or in case of serious risk, this measure may be taken without notice.
14. Data retrieval, transfer and continuity of service
At any time and whatever their plan, including FREE, the user may retrieve free of charge from the application (Settings, "Club data" section) the data of the projects they own: players, teams, matches, results, statistics and partners in spreadsheet format (CSV), as well as imported media (logos, photos) and graphic previews, gathered in a ZIP archive.
The owner of a project may transfer it to another person, in particular when the club's communication changes hands. The transfer takes effect when the recipient accepts it from their own account, within the quotas of their plan. It does not transfer the transferor's subscription or payment methods; the transferor loses access to the project unless the new owner invites them again.
If the service is permanently discontinued, Timline will inform users by email at least 90 days before the shutdown date. During this period, the service remains accessible and the data retrieval described in the first paragraph remains available. In the event of force majeure or a decision by an authority making this period impossible to respect, Timline will notify users as soon as possible and will keep data retrieval available for as long as possible.
This commitment does not cover the temporary interruptions provided for in article 11, nor the suspension or termination of an account provided for in article 13.
15. Changes to the Terms
Timline reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time to reflect changes in the service, its offers, its providers or its legal obligations.
In the event of a substantial change, the user is informed by any appropriate means, in particular by email or in-app notification, before the new version comes into force.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will first seek an amicable solution, starting by contacting support at support@timline.fr.
Users acting as consumers may, in accordance with articles L611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, refer a dispute free of charge to a consumer mediator if it could not be resolved beforehand through a written complaint sent to support. The contact details of the designated mediator are kept up to date on the legal notice page. Failing an amicable agreement, the competent court is determined according to the applicable legal rules.
